Hope Cotons is a small, home-based caregiving (breeder) program, tucked away along the Texas Gulf Coast.
What we do is really simple: we raise excellent companions for wonderful people. But behind that simplicity is a whole lot of intention.
Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of the family. In their earliest weeks, they remain close, sleeping in our bedroom, where they receive constant attention, comfort, and monitoring. As they grow, they transition into a structured, enriched environment we like to call "Puppy Disneyland," where they are introduced to new experiences, gentle training, and daily adventures that build confidence and curiosity.
We stay actively involved in every detail, including pedigree tracking, heat cycles, whelping timelines, veterinary care, and ongoing communication with puppy families. Just as important, we prioritize cleanliness, proper nutrition, and a consistent routine to make sure each puppy thrives.
The result is what matters most: happy, healthy, well-socialized puppies ready to become a beloved part of your family.
At the end of the day, we are not just raising puppies. We are raising future best friends, companions, and little pieces of someone’s heart.
We are not a high-volume program, and we are not focused on quick placement. I pray from the moment these sweet little bundles enter this world that they go to the perfect home. And they always have. I have entrusted each one to a family that becomes a part of the Hope Coton family.

Meet the breeder
Meet Deana
I didn’t choose the Coton life. The Coton life aggressively came to life all over our home and claimed me as its own.
I am Deana Borne, founder of Hope Cotons. I operate somewhere between devoted caregiver, full-time puppy emotional support human, and unpaid servant to fluffy white creatures with better hair than most shampoo commercials.
My days consist of negotiating with tiny white fluff clouds who refuse to come inside, evaluating poop like it is a scientific discipline, taking a magnitude of photos to get one usable puppy picture, and whispering “you’re perfect” to puppies who just committed mild chaos.

I run a highly selective, in-home puppy program, which is a polite way of saying: the puppies run the house. I just pay the bills, fueled by coffee, chaos, and the belief that every family deserves a dog that looks like a tiny living marshmallow with a personality disorder (the cute kind).
Rumor has it I can identify each puppy by bark, attitude, and how aggressively they demand snacks. My hobbies include rearranging my life around nap schedules (the puppies’, not mine), deep-diving into canine genetics in the wee morning hours, and pretending I am “not keeping this one” (I am absolutely keeping this one).
In a world of backyard breeders and puppy mills, I chose a different path: raising tiny royalty in my living room, one spoiled, slightly dramatic Coton at a time.
